Governor Snyder Reveals Plan for Investment in Infrastructure and Transportation

This past Wednesday, October 26, Governor Snyder held a special address on the future of transportation and infrastructure in Michigan.  He announced his commitment to invest in transportation through not only maintaining roads and bridges, but also through investing inhigh speed rail detroit sustainable infrastructure, as discussed in this press release from the Michigan Environmental Council.  

Snyder also said the state needs to raise $1.4 billion to fund transportation projects, and according to the Michigan Land Use Institute blog, the governor remarked that, "raising the money will help fix the state’s crumbling roads, contribute to rebuilding the state’s economy, and attract young talent to Michigan."
